The first family to arrive at Potager this morning were from Germany and were visiting because they had recently seen a documentary made about us three years ago. They were surprised to discover Arte back filming us again and became the perfect extras as they played games, ate and drank in the glasshouse cafe.
Next weeks forage necessitated that I made some nettle beer that will be ready in time for people to take away, Kristan the films director was keen to include this and as had happened previously visitors were keen to help harvest nettles and make the beer. Two first timers to Potager who had popped in for coffee and cake found themselves with a couple on holiday helping me! Two have signed up for next Saturday 5th Junes Forage, Learn Make and Take Away, so enthused were they with the nettle beer.
We will experiment with more flavours on Saturday and the girls were also keen to arrive early and take advantage of our glass paints to decorate their bottles.
