Last week end we hosted our introduction to Permaculture course taught by Klaudia van Gool in a garden still full of sunshine and life.
On the Saturday we based ourselves on the deck outside the timber studio in hot sun while Birthday party children enjoyed the garden around us, like a time forgot little girls with fairy wings fluttered by and small boys in ties wandered and enjoyed the freedom of the garden.
On Sunday the group met in the cafe where reference books were laid out and stories read. Bill Mollinson and David Holmgren the fathers of Permaculture made an appearance on screen and outdoor activities kept us thinking and learning.
Grasping the basic principles of Permaculture and sharing good company and food, homemade treats like nettle pesto and nettle beer, along with homegrown salads and pears made a special time.
Thank you to all those who came and made it a memorable week end.
