The propagation greenhouse had fallen into disrepair and was mainly a repository for the the many thousands of plastic plant pots that have accumulated over the years (let us know if you would like some!). To make better use of the building we decided to convert it into three craft studios. Not wanting to lose the character of the greenhouse completely it was decided to maintain some of the original structure rather than tear it all down and start from scratch. Unfortunately this meant there would be no digger access and the 18" of top soil would have to be removed one barrow at a time. Happily a few friends came to help with the digging and over the course of a long weekend we got the job done....
